Meta One's Instagram Link Page: Is It Worth $14.99 a Month? (2026)

September 29, 2026 · 6 min read

Meta One adds a 20-link Instagram link page from $14.99 a month. What each plan includes, what stays free, and how it compares with a free lit.bio page.

Quick answer: Meta One is Meta's paid subscription for Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI, announced on September 15, 2026 (Meta's help pages say it is still rolling out, so availability varies by country). Every creator and business plan, starting with Essential at $14.99 a month in the US (about $180 a year), turns your Instagram bio into a link page with up to 20 links, each with an image and title, on a URL you can share. Clickable links inside posts and Reels start one tier up, on Advanced ($49.99 a month), capped at 4 posts and 4 Reels a month. Free accounts still get up to 5 bio links and the Story link sticker. If you mainly want more links in your bio, a free link-in-bio page does that job for $0.

What is Meta One?

Meta One is a family of paid plans Meta announced on September 15, 2026. Individuals get single-app plans (Instagram Plus at $3.99 a month, for example) and AI bundles (Core at $7.99, Premium at $19.99). Creators and businesses get four tiers: Essential, Advanced, Expert and Max, and that is where the link features sit. Meta says the core experience of its apps stays free.

Link page eligibility and the post and Reel caps come from Meta's help centre. Prices are the US starting prices from Meta's announcement. Essential also includes a verified badge, impersonation protection and more WhatsApp Business Agent replies. Advanced adds scheduling, team access and exportable analytics. Meta says pricing and availability vary by region, app and account, and one report says businesses pay separately for each app, so check the price in your own app.

What is the Instagram link page in Meta One?

It is Meta's own link-in-bio page. Without a subscription you can add up to 5 links to your bio. With any Meta One creator or business plan you can add up to 20, give each an image, a title and a description, and set a primary link once you have at least two. When someone taps the link in your bio, the page opens without them leaving Instagram. Meta also says the page gets its own URL that you can share on other platforms and websites. Teen accounts cannot use it.

Setting it up follows the normal bio link path:

  1. Go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
  2. Tap Links, then Add link.
  3. Enter the URL and a short title (the title is what people see, so "Shop" beats a raw web address).
  4. Add an image and description if you want them. Instagram needs photo access for images.
  5. Repeat up to 20 times, pick a primary link, and confirm your changes.

Labels may shift between app versions, but the stable path is Profile, then Edit profile, then Links.

Which Meta One plans get clickable links in posts and Reels?

Advanced and above. This is the genuinely new part: until now a URL in an Instagram caption was plain text (see our guide on putting a link in an Instagram post). According to Meta's help centre, eligible public accounts must write a caption to add a link, cannot edit the link after posting, and get an allowance that resets when the plan renews, with no rollover. Links to Meta's own apps, catalog product links added through Add products, and links in paid ads do not count toward the cap.

What is still free on Instagram?

As of September 2026, Meta's help centre confirms that accounts without a subscription can still add up to 5 bio links. The Story link sticker has been open to all accounts since 2021, and Meta One coverage describes it as still free, though Meta's Meta One pages do not mention it directly. Our guide to adding multiple links to your Instagram bio covers the free setup.

Is Meta One the same as Meta Verified?

Not exactly. Meta describes Meta One as a new subscription that "builds on Meta Verified", and its Meta Verified page now says Meta Verified features are available in Meta One. The verified badge comes with every creator and business tier after an identity check. Meta has not clearly said how existing Meta Verified subscriptions carry over.

Is Meta One available in my country?

Meta's announcement says the plans are available globally, but its help pages say Meta One is still in limited testing and not available everywhere. Prices differ by market: coverage in France lists Essential at 16.99 euros a month.

Why can't I see the link page or post links?

The honest cost comparison: Meta's link page costs about $180 a year at the US Essential price. A free lit.bio page costs nothing, and Pro costs $108 a year or $49 once. Meta's page is also shareable by URL, but it is built around Instagram. A lit.bio page is built to sit in your TikTok, YouTube, Threads and X profiles and your email signature, and you update it once for all of them. Who should pay for Meta One?

To be fair to Meta: a free tool can replace a link page, but not a clickable link inside a Reel. A link right where people are watching may convert better than "link in bio", and a page that opens inside Instagram removes a step. Meta One makes sense for businesses whose Reels drive traffic to product pages, where a few extra sales a month cover $49.99, and for brands that also want the verified badge, impersonation protection, scheduling and WhatsApp tools. If you only want more links in your bio, Essential is an expensive way to get them.

Why one link-in-bio URL still belongs in that slot

Whether or not you pay Meta, your bio link is the one people tap most. Point it to a lit.bio page and it can hold your shop, newsletter, latest video and other socials: up to 10 links on the free plan, with every theme, a QR code and 7-day click analytics, no ads, and no fee on links to your own shop or products. Pro is $9 a month or $49 once for unlimited links and extras. If you pay for Meta One later, keep your lit.bio URL as one of your links. Start free
