How to Put Your Twitch Link in Your TikTok Bio (Including Under 1,000 Followers)
October 27, 2026 · 7 min read
Add your Twitch link to your TikTok bio once you hit 1,000 followers, and what works before that. Plus Instagram, X and YouTube steps, as of October 2026.
Quick answer: Copy your channel URL (https://www.twitch.tv/yourname), then in TikTok go to Profile, Edit profile, and tap Add next to Links. As of October 2026, TikTok only offers that website link to accounts with 1,000 or more followers or a verified Business account. Under 1,000, type twitch.tv/yourname into your bio text (not clickable, but searchable) and link your Instagram or YouTube, which can carry a clickable Twitch link.
How do I add my Twitch link to TikTok?
- Get your channel link. It is https://www.twitch.tv/ followed by your username, exactly as it appears on Twitch.
- Open the TikTok app and tap Profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Next to Links, tap Add and choose the website option.
- Paste the full URL, save, and tap it on your profile to make sure it opens your channel.
The website option is added in the mobile app. If you do not see it, the cause is almost always eligibility, covered next. Our full TikTok bio link guide has every fix for a missing Links option.
Why can't I add a link to my TikTok bio?
TikTok's help center says you can add a website to your profile if you have at least 1,000 followers or a verified Business account. Below 1,000 on a personal account, the option simply is not there. Other reasons the option is missing include being under 18, living in a region where the feature is not offered, or running an old version of the app.
The Business account route rarely helps streamers. TikTok's wording points to a verified (registered) Business account, and verification asks for business details and documents. Switching to Business also limits you to TikTok's Commercial Music Library instead of the full sound library, which hurts gaming clips built on trending audio. For most streamers, waiting until 1,000 followers is the better trade.
What can I do with under 1,000 followers?
You cannot get a clickable website link yet, but you can make your Twitch channel easy to find, without breaking TikTok's rules:
- Put it in your bio text. Write "Live on Twitch: twitch.tv/yourname" or "Twitch: yourname". Links in bio text are not clickable on TikTok, but people can read, copy or search it.
- Use the same handle everywhere. If your TikTok, Twitch and Instagram names match, a viewer who searches your name on Twitch finds you in seconds.
- Link Instagram or YouTube. TikTok's Links menu also connects Instagram and YouTube, and those social links do not carry the 1,000 follower rule (TikTok notes they are not available everywhere). Put your clickable Twitch link in that Instagram or YouTube profile. It is one extra tap, but it works.
- Say it in the video. "Live Tuesdays and Fridays on Twitch, name in my bio" at the end of a clip, with the handle as on-screen text. Captions and comments are not clickable on TikTok, so this is about recall, not taps.
- Pin a "where to find me" video. A short clip showing your stream, schedule and handle, pinned to the top of your profile.
- Do not buy followers to hit 1,000. TikTok's Community Guidelines treat bought or inflated follows as fake engagement, which can cost you reach or the account.
Should I stream on TikTok LIVE or send people to Twitch?
Both platforms have rules here worth knowing, as of October 2026:
- TikTok LIVE eligibility. TikTok's LIVE safety guide says you must be at least 18 and have a certain number of followers, which varies by market. Check your eligibility in the app.
- Do not turn a TikTok LIVE into an ad for Twitch. TikTok's LIVE monetization guidelines list repeatedly directing viewers off-platform as an example of low-engagement content, which can make a LIVE ineligible for recommendation and monetization. Mention your Twitch once, then stream.
- Simulcasting. Twitch updated its simulcasting guidelines in 2023 so most streamers can stream on other services at the same time, but it asks you not to direct your Twitch community to leave Twitch for the simulcast. Streamers with exclusivity contracts follow their contract instead.
- Clips. TikTok's guidelines say unoriginal or reused material without anything new is not eligible for the For You feed. Edit your Twitch clips for vertical, add captions or commentary, and post them as their own videos rather than raw re-uploads.
A common pattern: TikTok for short clips and discovery, Twitch for the long stream, and one link in your TikTok bio once you are eligible.
Where to put your Twitch link on every platform (October 2026)

| TikTok | Edit profile, then Links, then website | Yes, once eligible | 1,000+ followers or a verified Business account. Bio text, captions and comments are not clickable |
| Edit profile, then Links, then Add external link | Yes | Up to 5 links, every account. Story Link sticker works too | |
| X | Edit profile, then Website field | Yes | One Website field. Full URLs in the bio text are also clickable |
| YouTube | YouTube Studio, Customization, Basic info, Links | Yes | Up to 14 channel links, the first shows on your banner |
| Twitch itself | Creator Dashboard, Settings, Channel, About | Yes | Up to 5 Social Links, plus panels |
Step-by-step guides: Instagram bio links, X bio links and YouTube channel links. For the reverse direction, adding your TikTok and other links on your Twitch channel, see how to add links to Twitch. Twitch says that once you add your TikTok in Social Links, it tags your handle automatically when clips are shared to TikTok.
Twitch link or link page in your TikTok bio?
If Twitch is the only place you want people to go, put the Twitch URL straight in the TikTok website slot. It is one tap to your channel.
Most streamers have more than one destination: Twitch, a Discord server, a YouTube channel for VODs, maybe merch or a schedule. TikTok gives you one website link, so a link page lets that slot cover all of them. On a free lit.bio page you get up to 10 links, unlimited social icons (Twitch and Discord included), a TikTok or YouTube embed for your best clip, and a text block for your stream schedule. Free pages show a small "Create your own free page" link and carry no ads.
To be clear about limits: lit.bio has no Twitch embed, so your page shows a button to your channel, not a live player or a "live now" indicator. Pro ($9 a month or $49 once) adds link scheduling, which shows a link only between set dates, useful for a one-off charity stream or tournament. lit.bio is newer and smaller than Linktree, and if you already have a page there, the importer brings it over. Once you pass 1,000 followers, make a free page and put it in the TikTok slot.
