How to Add Links to Your SoundCloud Profile and Bio (2026)
October 5, 2026 · 6 min read
Add links to your SoundCloud profile: click Edit under your header, open Your links, paste up to 10 URLs and save. Bio limits, mobile steps and fixes inside.
Quick answer: SoundCloud lets you add up to 10 links to your profile. On a computer, open your profile, click the Edit button below your header image, scroll to the Your links section, paste each URL, and save. You can also put up to 10 full URLs in your bio, which holds 4,000 characters; HTML is not supported, but full addresses become clickable. On the iOS or Android app, SoundCloud's help says to tap the three dots in the upper right of the home page, then Edit Profile and Bio. Artist and Artist Pro subscribers get extra options, like a clickable banner.
How to add links to your SoundCloud profile on desktop
- Sign in at soundcloud.com and go to your profile.
- Click the Edit button below your header image (it may show as a small pen icon).
- Scroll to the Your links section. Older SoundCloud help pages call this area "You on the Web", so you may see either name.
- Add a link and paste the full URL, starting with https://. If there is a title box, give it a short label such as "Bandcamp" or "Tour dates".
- Repeat for each link, up to 10.
- Click Save changes, then view your profile and click each link to make sure it opens.
The web editor is the most complete way to manage links, so if you plan to set up several, do it on a computer or in your phone's browser.
How to edit your SoundCloud bio and links on mobile
- Open the SoundCloud app on iOS or Android.
- Tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the home page.
- Tap Edit Profile.
- Tap Bio and update the text. Paste any URLs in full, with https://.
- Save, then open your profile to check the result.
The app layout changes between versions. If you do not see the option to edit your links section, make the change on the web, or update the app and look again.
How many links can you have on SoundCloud?
As of October 2026, SoundCloud's help center says you can add up to 10 links in your profile's links section, and separately include up to 10 full URLs in your bio. That makes SoundCloud one of the more generous platforms for profile links. The bio itself has a 4,000 character limit, enough for a real artist story plus your key links.
One detail matters: HTML is not supported in the bio. You cannot turn a word into a link. Paste the whole address, such as https://yourname.bandcamp.com, and SoundCloud shows it as a clickable link.
Links that do more than open a page
A few kinds of links get special treatment on SoundCloud, so it is worth knowing which ones to add.
- Twitter (X). SoundCloud says that linking your Twitter account puts your handle in the pre-filled text when fans share your tracks there.
- Resident Advisor or Songkick. Add one of these URLs to your links and SoundCloud displays your upcoming tour dates on the right side of your profile.
- Fan support link. On the web, the Your links section has an Add fan support link option for a single payment link from a supported platform, such as PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Bandcamp, Shopify, Patreon, Kickstarter or GoFundMe. SoundCloud says it takes no fee on that support, though the payment platform may.
- Banner click-through. With an Artist or Artist Pro subscription, hover over your header on desktop, click Update Banner Links, and add a link under the Profile Banner click-through tab. Your header image then works as a button to your site or store.
- Featured Profiles. Also part of the paid artist features: you can feature up to four other SoundCloud accounts from your banner.
SoundCloud link options at a glance
| Link type | How many | Where to set it | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your links (web links) | Up to 10 | Edit, Your links | Free |
| Full URLs in your bio | Up to 10, within 4,000 characters | Edit, Bio | Free |
| Fan support link | 1 | Edit, Your links (web) | Free |
| Banner click-through | 1 | Update Banner Links (desktop) | Artist or Artist Pro |
| Featured Profiles | Up to 4 accounts | Update Banner Links (desktop) | Artist or Artist Pro |
Why are my SoundCloud links not showing?
- No https://. A partial address may not become a link. Paste the full URL.
- HTML in the bio. SoundCloud does not support HTML, so an a tag shows up as raw code. Use plain URLs.
- Changes not saved. The edit window needs Save changes clicked before you close it.
- Edited in the app. If the app does not show your links section, use soundcloud.com in a browser.
- Over the limit. Ten links in the links section is the ceiling. Remove one to add another.
- Tour dates missing. The automatic tour module needs a Resident Advisor or Songkick URL in your links, not in your bio.
When 10 links is not the problem
Ten links is plenty for most artists on SoundCloud itself. The trouble starts elsewhere. Your Instagram, TikTok and Spotify profiles give you far less room, and every time you drop a release, change a merch store or add a tour, you are updating several profiles by hand. A link-in-bio page gives you one URL to put everywhere, including as one of your SoundCloud links, so you update one page instead of every profile.
lit.bio is one option built with musicians in mind. The free plan gives you a page at lit.bio/yourname with up to 10 links, 50+ social icons, all 12 themes, a free QR code for flyers and merch tables, and 7-day click analytics, with no ads. Paste a Spotify or Apple Music link and it builds a "listen anywhere" block for your release, and you can add background music by uploading an MP3, M4A or OGG file. Free pages show a small "Create your own free page" link at the bottom. Pro is $9 a month or $49 once if you want unlimited links and branding removed.
Your next step
Fill in your SoundCloud links using the steps above, put your strongest few up top, and use a link-in-bio page for everything that does not fit on your other profiles.
