Linktree Business Card: QR Code, Wallet Card or a Free Option (2026)
October 3, 2026 · 7 min read
What Linktree offers for business cards in 2026: free QR code, vCard contact link, Wallet card and printed cards, how to print your QR, and a free alternative.
Quick answer: Linktree now has real business card features: a free QR code for your page, a Contact Details link that lets visitors download your details as a vCard, a digital card for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and printed Classic and Metal cards sold through its own store. If you already use Linktree and want a Wallet card or a printed NFC card, stay with Linktree. If you would rather have a free page whose QR code opens straight to a Save contact button with your photo, no app on either phone, and a $0 or $49 one-time price, lit.bio is a simpler alternative. Everything below was checked on linktr.ee in October 2026, so confirm details on Linktree's live pricing page.
What Linktree offers for business cards
Linktree runs a "What Is a Digital Business Card?" page that says its version "already has more than 80,000 people using it". Its help center describes four pieces:
- A QR code for your Linktree. Free on every plan. You download it as a PNG or SVG. Linktree says the code points to a unique URL, not your username, so it keeps working if you rename your page.
- A Contact Details link. A link app where you enter your name, occupation, phone numbers, email, street or postal address and hours. Visitors download a VCF file (a vCard) that saves to their address book. The feature table shows link apps on all plans; locking the details behind a code needs a paid plan.
- A digital card in your phone's wallet. In your Linktree Admin, open Business cards, then the Digital card tab, pick a background color and tap Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet. Anyone who scans the card's QR code lands on your Linktree. A Save contact button appears if you added a Contact Details link, and a Share details button lets people send you their name, phone and email if you turned on Let visitors subscribe.
- Printed cards. A Classic card in recycled PVC (tap by NFC or scan the QR code, seven colors) and a Metal card in anodized aluminum (QR only, laser-etched logo), sold through the Linktree Business Cards store. Shipping is US-only, excluding Alaska and Hawaii, at a flat $7 standard or $15 express. Each card has to be activated by scanning it and signing in.
On plans: the QR code is free. The help center says QR customization (your color, your logo, hiding the Linktree logo) is "Available on Pro and Premium plans", while the pricing table shows it from Starter. Seeing how many people scanned your code needs Starter or above. The help articles for the Wallet card and the printed cards do not name a required plan, and the card store would not load for us, so card prices are not included here.
How to put your Linktree QR code on a business card
- Add a Contact Details link in your Linktree so people who scan can save your number, not just browse.
- In My Linktree, open the Links tab, click Share and choose My Linktree QR code.
- Download the SVG if your printer accepts it (it stays sharp at any size), or the PNG.
- Place it on the card at about 2 by 2 cm (0.8 inches) or larger, with a clear white border around it and dark code on a light background.
- Print one proof and scan it with two different phones before ordering the full run.
On the free plan the code carries the Linktree logo in the middle. That is fine for scanning, but if you want your own logo you need a paid tier. Our guide to QR code business cards covers vCard QR codes versus link QR codes and why a link QR stays easier to scan.
The lit.bio alternative
lit.bio was built as a link in bio that also works as a digital business card. On the free plan you get a page at lit.bio/yourname, a free QR code, and a Save contact button. You fill in your name, job title, company, phone, email, website and address, and anyone who taps the button gets a vCard with your profile photo, which opens their phone's add-to-contacts screen. Nobody installs an app, on either side. The same page holds up to 10 links, so your card can also send people to your portfolio, booking page or reviews.
Pro is $9 a month or $49 once, for life. It adds unlimited links, 90-day analytics, branding removal, a contact form, a booking calendar and email capture.

Where Linktree is better
- Wallet card. Linktree puts your card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. lit.bio has no Wallet pass.
- Printed and NFC cards. You can order a physical card from Linktree and tap it on a phone. lit.bio sells no cards and has no NFC.
- Two-way exchange. Linktree's Share details button collects the other person's details into its Audience Manager.
- Unlimited free links and longer free analytics (28 days against lit.bio's 7).
- Size and apps. Linktree has an Android app and a much longer track record. lit.bio is a newer, smaller product.
Where lit.bio is better
- A one-time price. Branding removal is $49 once on lit.bio, against Pro at $15 a month on Linktree.
- Your photo in the saved contact. lit.bio's vCard includes your profile photo, so you show up with a face in their contacts.
- Design on the free plan. All 12 themes, 12 fonts and every button style are free, so your card page can match your printed card. Linktree keeps advanced themes and button styles for Pro.
lit.bio's limits
The free plan holds 10 links. There are no custom domains yet (on the roadmap), no Wallet pass, no NFC cards, no team plans and no CRM. Tips and locked content carry a 10% platform fee. If you need cards for a sales team or tap-to-share hardware, a dedicated card service or Linktree fits better.
How to switch
Sign up, then use the one-click Linktree importer to bring your links across (trim to 10 or go Pro if you have more). Our guide to switching from Linktree covers each step. Fill in the contact card, download your new QR code and test it. What you lose: your Wallet card, any Linktree printed cards (they keep pointing at Linktree, though you can change which Linktree they open), share-back contacts and your Linktree analytics history. Cards already printed with your Linktree QR code keep working as long as that Linktree stays live, so keep it up while you run out your old stock.
The bottom line
Want a Wallet card or a printed NFC card from the same company as your link page? Linktree has both. Want a free page that works as your card and your link in bio, with a Save contact button and a QR code you can print anywhere? Start free
