Quick answer: If you mainly sell through Instagram or messengers, need unlimited links on a free plan, or want a custom domain and 0% platform fees for about $8 a month on a yearly term, stay with Taplink: it is cheaper than lit.bio for that job. If you would rather pay once instead of renewing every year, want a polished creator page with a Save contact button and background music on the free plan, and get paid through Stripe Connect, lit.bio is worth a look. lit.bio Pro is $9 a month or $49 once for life. What is Taplink?
Taplink is a link-in-bio and mini landing page builder that has been running since 2017. It is aimed at small businesses and service providers who sell through Instagram and messaging apps, with blocks for price lists, forms, payments and a built-in CRM. It has a large footprint in Russia and the CIS, where many user pages are served from taplink.ru and priced in rubles. Its homepage counter showed 8,837,251 Taplinks created when we checked in October 2026.
Taplink pricing in 2026
Taplink sells its paid plans on prepaid terms of 3, 6 or 12 months, with no month-to-month option shown. On the 12-month term (50% off the list price), as of October 2026 for a US visitor:
- Basic: free. Unlimited links, pre-designed themes, text and social blocks, maps, page view stats and a QR code.
- Pro: $4 a month ($48 a year). Adds templates, image, video and music blocks, price lists, custom HTML, social media pixels, scheduled blocks and click analytics. On a 3-month term it works out to $8 a month.
- Business: $8 a month ($96 a year). Adds internal pages, digital products, forms, payments, Taplink branding removal, a CRM, automated emails, a countdown timer and a custom domain with SSL. On a 3-month term it works out to $16 a month.
Some third-party sites quote different Taplink prices, and prices may vary by region, so check Taplink's live pricing before you decide.

Where Taplink is better
- Unlimited free links. Taplink's free plan has no link cap. lit.bio's free plan stops at 10, and you need Pro for more.
- Lower price per year. Taplink Pro is $48 a year on a 12-month term, and Business is $96. If you only want pixels and click analytics, Taplink Pro costs less than a year of lit.bio Pro at $9 a month.
- 0% platform fees on sales. Taplink says digital product sales carry a 0% fee on Business. lit.bio takes a flat 10% on tips and locked content. If you sell regularly, Taplink's $96 a year is likely to cost you less than lit.bio's 10%.
- Custom domains. Taplink Business includes your own domain with SSL. lit.bio does not offer custom domains yet.
- Business tools. Multi-page sites, price lists, lead forms, a CRM, automated emails and support for 60+ payment processors are things lit.bio does not have.
Where lit.bio is better
- Pay once, keep it. lit.bio Pro is available for $49 one time, with no renewal. Taplink's paid plans are prepaid terms you renew. Over two years, Taplink Pro costs $96 and Business $192 at today's 12-month price; the lit.bio lifetime plan is still $49.
- Design on the free plan. Every lit.bio theme, font and button style is free, along with three layouts, a frosted glass panel and glowing icons. At Taplink, professional templates and image, video and music blocks are Pro features.
- A Save contact button. Free lit.bio pages can show a Save contact button. Visitors get a vCard with your name, title, company, phone, email, website, address and photo, with no app needed. Pair it with the free QR code and your page doubles as a digital business card.
- Music, free. Upload background music (MP3, M4A or OGG) with an optional tap-to-enter screen, or paste a Spotify or Apple Music link to get a "listen anywhere" block. Both are on the free plan. See how music smart links work.
- No ads. lit.bio free pages carry no ads, only a small "Create your own free page" link at the bottom.
- Creator payments through Stripe Connect. On Pro you can take tips, sell locked content and run paid subscription tiers, with payouts handled by Stripe Connect. Subscriptions have no lit.bio platform fee, and links to your own shop carry no fee at all.
- Booking and pixels in one plan. lit.bio Pro bundles a booking calendar, contact form, email capture and tracking pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Snapchat).
What do Taplink users say?
As of October 2026, Taplink's Trustpilot page showed a 2.3 out of 5 rating from 31 reviews, and noted that the company had not replied to negative reviews. One reviewer in 2024 described "horrific customer service 3 times in a row". Thirty-one reviews is a small sample for a tool with millions of pages, so treat it as a signal, not a verdict. Search snippets quoting higher Taplink Trustpilot scores did not match the page we read.
lit.bio's limits, plainly
- 10 links on the free plan. Unlimited links need Pro.
- No custom domains yet. Your page lives at lit.bio/yourname. Custom domains are on the roadmap.
- A 10% fee on tips and locked content. That is higher than Taplink's 0%. Paid subscriptions have no platform fee.
- No shop builder, courses, CRM or multi-page sites. If your Taplink is a storefront with forms and price lists, lit.bio is not a like-for-like replacement.
- Newer and smaller. lit.bio is a younger product with a smaller team than Taplink.
How to switch from Taplink to lit.bio
- Open your Taplink page and list every link, label and social profile you want to keep.
- Create a free lit.bio account and pick your name (lit.bio/yourname).
- Add your links and social icons. lit.bio's one-click importer works for Linktree only, so Taplink links are copied by hand. With more than 10 links, either trim to your best 10 or upgrade to Pro.
- Pick a theme, add your photo, and turn on Save contact or music if you want them.
- Update the link in your Instagram, TikTok and other bios. If you used a custom domain on Taplink, point visitors to your lit.bio address instead, since lit.bio cannot host your domain yet.
- Keep your Taplink plan until your new page is live everywhere, then let it lapse.
