October 3, 2026 · 7 min read
Looking for a hoo.be alternative? An honest 2026 look at hoo.be's 9%, 5% and 0% seller fees, its prices, and when lit.bio is or is not a better fit.
Quick answer: If you sell regularly from your bio, stay with hoo.be: its seller fees (9% on Free, 5% on Pro, 0% on Premium) are lower than lit.bio's flat 10% on tips and locked content, and Premium adds custom domains and up to five profiles. If you would rather pay once than every month, want paid fan subscriptions with no platform fee, or want a free page with a Save contact button and background music, lit.bio is worth a look. lit.bio Pro is $9 a month or $49 once for life, against hoo.be Pro at $9.99 a month. lit.bio's free plan caps you at 10 links and it has no custom domains yet. Prices below were checked October 2026.
What is hoo.be?
hoo.be is a media-first link-in-bio platform built for creators, known for its polished visual profiles, product showcase blocks, carousels and social embeds. It started as an invite-only tool, but as of October 2026 signup appears open, and its homepage claims "1.5+ million creators". Some third-party reviews still describe it as invite-only with older prices, so rely on hoo.be's own pricing page.

Where hoo.be is better
- Lower seller fees at every tier. hoo.be takes 9% on Free, 5% on Pro and 0% on Premium. lit.bio takes a flat 10% on tips and locked content on its only paid plan. On $1,000 of tips, that is $50 on hoo.be Pro against $100 on lit.bio. If selling is the point of your page, hoo.be is cheaper per sale.
- Tips on the free plan. hoo.be's free plan includes a tip jar. On lit.bio, tips need Pro.
- Unlimited free links. hoo.be has no link cap on Free. lit.bio stops at 10.
- Custom domains and multiple profiles. Premium includes your own domain and up to 5 profiles. lit.bio offers neither today.
- Scheduling and drafts. hoo.be lets you draft and schedule pages, which helps with launches and drops.
- A media-first look. Product showcases, carousels and embeds are built for creators with a lot of visual content.
Where lit.bio is better
- Pay once. lit.bio Pro is $49 one time, with no renewal. hoo.be Pro is $9.99 a month, or $119.88 a year at the list price before any promo. If you mostly want branding removed and more features, lit.bio's lifetime plan pays for itself within months.
- 0% platform fee on subscriptions. lit.bio Pro lets you run paid subscription tiers with no lit.bio platform fee, only Stripe processing. On hoo.be, the only tier with a 0% seller fee is Premium at $29.99 a month.
- Published payment terms. lit.bio pays out through Stripe Connect. hoo.be's pricing page does not say which processor it uses.
- A Save contact button, free. Visitors tap once to save a vCard with your name, title, company, phone, email, website, address and photo, with no app needed. Pair it with the free QR code and your page works as a digital business card.
- Music, free. Upload background music (MP3, M4A or OGG) with an optional tap-to-enter screen, or paste a Spotify or Apple Music link to get a "listen anywhere" block. See our guide for musicians.
- A generous free design kit. Every theme, font and button style is free on lit.bio, plus three layouts, a frosted glass panel, glowing icons and no ads. hoo.be's free plan lists "basic customization".
- Booking and pixels on the $9 plan. lit.bio Pro includes a booking calendar, contact form, email capture and tracking pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Analytics 4, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Snapchat).
Which is cheaper for you?
It depends on how much you sell. If you mainly share links and content, lit.bio's $49 lifetime Pro is cheaper than hoo.be Pro after about five months at list price. If you earn tips or sell content every month, hoo.be's 5% Pro fee beats lit.bio's 10%, and the gap grows with your sales. If you sell fan subscriptions, lit.bio charges no platform fee on them, while hoo.be only reaches 0% on Premium. Run your own numbers, and read how link-in-bio fees work for the wider picture.
lit.bio's limits, plainly
- 10 links on the free plan. Unlimited links need Pro.
- No custom domains yet. Your page lives at lit.bio/yourname. Custom domains are on the roadmap.
- A 10% fee on tips and locked content. That is higher than any hoo.be tier. Paid subscriptions have no platform fee.
- No multiple profiles, page scheduling or product showcase blocks. Links to your own shop work, with no fee.
- Newer and smaller. lit.bio is a younger product with a smaller team.
How to switch from hoo.be to lit.bio
- Open your hoo.be profile and note every link, label, social profile and product you link to.
- Create a free lit.bio account and choose your name (lit.bio/yourname).
- Add your links and social icons by hand. lit.bio's one-click importer works for Linktree only. With more than 10 links, trim to your best 10 or upgrade to Pro.
- Pick a theme, add your profile and header photos, and turn on Save contact or music if you want them.
- If you take tips or sell content, upgrade to Pro and connect Stripe.
- Update the link in your Instagram, TikTok and other bios, then cancel hoo.be once everything points to your new page.
What you lose: your custom domain, extra profiles, scheduled pages and drafts, any verification checkmark, contacts collected on hoo.be (export them first) and your hoo.be analytics history.
Which should you choose?
Choose hoo.be if selling from your bio is your main income, or if you need a custom domain, several profiles or page scheduling. Choose lit.bio if you want a free page with a Save contact card and music, fan subscriptions with no platform fee, and a $49 one-time upgrade instead of a monthly bill.
